Dianne Hunter Crouse
I am an Indianapolis based artist and my creative journey began on a vacation trip in 2012 with one class of jewelry making. As I learn more and more about gemstones and my craft, my desire to create just continues to expand.
I work mostly with natural gemstones but also use Swarovski crystals, African beads, leather, and whatever unique materials I can find. My pieces are singular and reflective of the beauty I see in the colors and textures of the world around me.
Working from my home studio, which is open to the public, I make commissioned pieces as well as teach lessons and do jewelry repairs. I exhibit my pieces in trunk shows and feature my work in unique shops such as the Playful Soul in Nora (Indianapolis).
Because of my interest in Buddhism, I make malas (prayer beads), and rosaries.
In addition to making jewelry, I enjoy making pottery, playing the piano and gardening.
I like to add joy and color to the world, one bead at a time!
